Where The Hills Are Alive

Howey-In-The-Hills is a scenic, family-friendly village with historic buildings in the Spanish mission style of architecture. Founded by citrus magnate William John Howey in 1925, the quaint, rural town on the western shore of Little Lake Harris on the Central Florida Harris Chain of Lakes is named to reflect the beautiful rolling hills and sparkling lakes, which he dubbed “the Florida Alps.”
